Hung Voung

Hung Voung in Vietnamese means King. I was briefed to design tableware and 3 textile pattern as part of a collection for the Vietnamese brand UMA Furniture and Decoration (today Baya). Inspired by POP art - Retro - Modern Vietnam. Below you can also find handmade clay models as a matching tableware serie, where the plates came to production. The prints are:

soft rectangular shapes in neutral colours
the vietnamese symbolic flower Lotus
typical metal coffee filter, iced coffe and a jar of the famous condensed milk: Sữa Ông Thọ illustrated as pop art silouettes
